Eligibility Criteria

Undergraduate Degree
  • Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification (including 3-year, 4-year, or 5-year undergraduate programs)

Russian Language Proficiency
  • Applicants are expected to master Russian at the B2CEFR level. An official language certificate is not required. However, applicants must successfully pass an entrance examination conducted in Russian

Company Internship

Business internship is a mandatory component of the program.

Students work in real business environments under the supervision of professional mentors.

Admission Process for Foreign Applicants

Recognition of Foreign Diplomas Deadline: June 25, 2026

All diplomas issued outside the Russian Federation must undergo a recognition procedure.

Applicants must:

  1. Register on the MSU online platform
  2. Upload scanned copies of their passport and educational documents with transcripts of records
  3. Provide notarized Russian translations of all required documents

 

Depending on the country of issuance, an apostille or consular legalization may also be required.

Application and Document Submission June 20 – 25, 2026

Where to submit documents:

Foreign applicants may apply online through the MSU application portal Webanketa MSU

 

List of required documents:

  1. Completed online application form
  2. Copy of your passport or identity document with notarized Russian translation
  3. Copy of your diploma and transcript with notarized Russian translation
  4. Personal photograph (3 x 4 cm format)
  5. Apostille or consular legalization (if applicable)

 

Rules for document submission:

  • The online application form must be completed in Russian
  • Names and places of birth must match the notarized translation exactly
  • The “Patronymic” field should only be filled if it appears in the applicant’s passport

Entrance Examination June 20 – August 10, 2026

International applicants take the entrance exam online in Russian.

The assessment consists of a written assignment in Management

 

Results are evaluated on a 100-point scale. Minimum passing score: 40 points.

Applicants are allowed only one exam attempt.

Ranking List August 14 – 20, 2026

Applicants who successfully pass the entrance examination are ranked according to their scores. Ranking lists are published and updated daily on the website of the Central Admissions Committee of the University.

Applicants are encouraged to monitor their ranking status and contact the Admissions Committee if clarification is needed.

Enrollment August 24 – September 1, 2026

Applicants who successfully pass the entrance examination and submit enrollment consent may proceed with signing the education contract.

Enrollment consent deadline: August 3, 2026, at 6:00 PM (Moscow time).

Enrollment is finalized after contract signing and payment for the first semester.

International students are strongly recommended to obtain voluntary health insurance upon arrival in Russia.

FAQ

Are there state-funded places available?
No, the program does not offer state-funded places.
Are scholarships offered to international students?
While MSUBS does not offer internal scholarships, we highly encourage applications from prospective students who have secured external funding.
Does MSUBS offer on-campus housing? How do I apply for a dorm room?
Yes. Dormitory accommodation is available in the MSU Main Building. Applicants interested in accommodation should contact the Admissions Committee admission@edu.mgubs.ru or the International Office Exchange Coordinator m.danilkina@edu.mgubs.ru
How do I pay tuition fees?
Students receive bank details for payment after admission. If making an international transfer from your home country proves difficult, we highly recommend arriving in Russia at least one week before the semester starts so you can complete the payment in person.
Is there an orientation or mentoring program for international students?
MSUBS offers a Buddy System that helps international students adapt to academic and social life in Moscow.
What is the academic calendar?
Fall Semester: September 1 – December 30
Spring Semester: January 16 – June 30
What is the class schedule?
Classes are held in the evenings Monday-Friday from 19:00 to 22:00. On Saturdays classes are scheduled in the daytime.
What are the estimated study and living costs?
Tuition Fees – 590 000 rubles per AY 2025/2026
Dormitory Fees – aprox. 15 000 rubles per month
Estimated Living Expensens – 40 000 – 45 000 rubles per month depending on lifestyle and personal expenses
