War Through the Eyes of a Child, a programme created by MSUBS third-year BM students, has been performed at various venues. In early December, commemorating the anniversary of Moscow defence that started on December 5, 1941, the programme was performed in a community center in Dubrovitsy, southern suburbs of Moscow. Once again, the memories of children and teenagers who witnessed the WWII, along with songs and poems about the war, spoke of the dark, trying times. Elena Filipovic, whose teenage memoirs' collection, Through the Darkness of War We Were Dashing to Our Stars, inspired the programme, was present along with others who witnessed the hardships of war firsthand. After the perfomance, the students and the audience had a chance to talk to these special guests about their experiences. We thank all the students that were involved in creating and performing the programme that gives us all a chance to reflect on our recent past and to treasure the heritage of those who came before us, on whose shoulders we all stand.
