MSU BS students join international Green Legacy Hiroshima Initiative
MSU BS encourages its students to participate in international projects which can make a difference to the global community. This September undergraduate students have formed an initiative group to implement Green Legacy Hiroshima Project at MSU. This is a volunteer initiative, established to safeguard and spread worldwide the seeds of Hiroshima’s A-Bomb survivor trees. The seeds as well as information support are provided by United Nations Institute for Training and Research – UNITAR and ANT- Hiroshima organization (Japan).
Together with the staff of the MSU Botanic Garden students will take care of seedlings which are to be planted here later outdoors. By participating in this project MSU BS students want to attract attention of the Russian youth to the matter of peace-keeping and nuclear deterrence as well as to commemorate war victims from all over the world.
