Lomonosov MSU Business School welcomes a delegation from University of Sydney
On March, 24th MSU Business School hosted representatives of the oldest state university of Australia - University of Sydney. The visit was organized with the support of the Australian Embassy as a part of cooperation programme which aims to set academic relations between Russian and Australian higher education institutions.
Sydney University was founded in 1850, and currently it is one of the best universities in Australia. Sydney University is in the top twenty universities in the world according to the quality of teaching and research. During the meeting the representatives of the MSU BS and University of Sydney found a lot in common in philosophy, aims and methods of programmes` implementation of both educational institutions and discussed the opportunities for future cooperation.
Professor John Shields gave a lecture "Leadership - does it matter?", to the fourth year students of the undergraduate programme, in which he presented the main classical and modern concepts of leadership; reviewed the key aspects of the evolution of leadership perception both from the point of view of leaders and employees. Students also took an active part in the discussion of different leadership styles, their positive and negative features. Professor John Shields wished the students success in their professional career.
