MSU BS delegation took part in the annual conference of the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD), the 41st conference since the inception of EFMD.
This year the conference was focused on the impact of the modern business education on business community. More than 400 participants from 50 countries took part in active discussion of the major challenges faced by the modern business educators. Among these challenges are the changing attitudes of employers towards the graduates of Master and MBA programmes, development of distance learning programs and opportunities for their integration into educational process.
The conference took place in Brussels on the basis of Vlerick Business School (Belgium) on June 9-11, 2013. The conference was attended by deans, directors and administrators of high education programme in the field of business and management, members of the faculty of business schools. MSU BS was represented by the dean, professor Oleg Vikhanskiy, associate dean Stanislav Smirnov, members of faculty Irina Petrovskaya and Vera Kononov, and the school’s administrator Olga Samoilova.
European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) is an international organisation focused on promotion of business education. The organisation is based in Brussels (Belgium) and has more than 750 members from 81 countries.
By EFMD decision as of February 9, 2011 the programme "Bachelor of Management" of MSU BS was awarded EPAS accreditation (European Programme Accreditation System), the most prestigious European accreditation for the programmes of that level.
