GSBA MSU reloads its educational “Doing Business in Russia” program which proposes a short-term educational course for the students groups from foreign universities. Its first attendees in this year were the Master students from the Italian SDA Bocconi University.
During the three days 21 students and 3 staff members from the Bocconi University learnt intensive how to establish or to run business in Russia. The program included lecturers of the GSBA professors and representatives from different Russian companies.
Economic situation in Russia, main financial indicators of modern Russian economy, Russian business culture and its stereotypes are only a few of topics discussed with the Italian students.
Practical aspects of Russian business were covered during the several visits visit to the leading companies Metro Cash&Carry, Hilti and RUSAL. The representatives of young and successful Innova company which produces the online computer games shared the experience of developing the start-up projects in Russia.
All the students were awarded certificates about the successful completion of the program.
After finishing the program the Italian student reported about the importance of the knowledge they have gained about doing business in Russia. One of the most interesting conclusion that were made is the understanding that there are a lot of opportunities for starting business in Russia, but at the same time it is extreme important to get acquainted with the Russian culture, to learn the legislation and, of course, to learn the Russian language.
